Welcome to the HR blog. I'm a Sydney photographer, podcaster and brand strategist from the Northern Beaches and I'm so glad you're here! Feel free to grab yourself a peppermint tea - my drink of choice! - and enjoy viewing my latest work, browsing our brand and portrait resources, and getting a little peek into my life!
Recently Erin, Luke and Rory met me for an afternoon family and maternity session at North Curl Curl Beach. Erin and I met a few years ago through our blogs and an eCourse we both took, and had the pleasure of meeting in person before I moved to London. She reached out a few months ago to ask if I could take some family and maternity portraits before their next little bub is born and I was so excited and honoured to be approached to document this special time for her family.
Erin describes her family and simple and chilled out trio who love going on mini adventures together. They’re outdoorsy, and you’ll often find them in nature: At parks or camping. Other times, they’ll be spotted in a cosy cafe. Rory is a huge fan of babycinos, especially when they come with a marshmallow, and I had a good giggle when Erin said he’s even suggested they call the baby “Cino” after his favourite treat.
I really connected with Erin’s description of her family, and her vision for their photos. In person, the three of them are just so beautiful, natural and gentle; I loved watching them interact together. Erin’s dream portraits were described as clear, bright and simple and full of love and affection. She envisaged a natural, candid feel, showing the love the three of them share, and the excitement and wonder we have for the next little addition.
I also loved meeting Rory! He wasn’t born when Erin and I met in 2015 and he is just the most gorgeous little boy. So gentle, curious and cuddly with a smile that melts your heart. He loved looking for birds and whales when we were up on the headland which was super sweet to watch!
I hope you enjoy browsing through a small selection of the photos from Erin, Luke and Rory’s session!
